WHO’S LIGHT DO YOU FOLLOW?

When I was growing up I would quite often go out in the yard to get things.  My father taught me that I should carry a flashlight when I went outside so I could see where I needed to place my feet.  As I got older he told me to shine the light a little further in front of me so I could be prepared for whatever may be in my path.  Eventually, I learned that the light had already shown me what I would face in a few seconds and I was more prepared for whatever I would face.

Just as my earthly father prepared me to walk in the dark of my yard, my Heavenly Father taught me how to be prepared to walk in the dark of this world that we are living in.  The Psalmist tells us that the Word of God is the light of our path.  God lights our feet and prepares us to first take small steps and then later He prepares us to walk in this dark world and not to be afraid of Satan.  We must be prepared for Satan to attack us; however, God will be there to light our path and guide our steps if we study His Word and follow His Son.  I follow Jesus, the Light of the World.  Who’s light do you follow?
